Sean has been a student of Marcelo's since 2001 and received his black belt from Marcelo in December of 2012. He is an Assistant Instructor at the Seattle Academy and manages the youth program, and often teaches both beginner and advanced classes in Marcelo's absence. He actively competed at the local level from white belt through brown belt and is now focused on developing his abilities as an instructor. Sean is a valuable instructor who considers himself a life long student. He can often be found rolling with a grin from ear to ear.
Outside of the academy Sean is a multifaceted professional. A licensed mental health counselor practicing in North Seattle and Bellevue, Sean assists both individuals and couples to improve themselves and their relationships. He also works as a Distressed Homeowner Consultant for attorneys specializing in foreclosure prevention. Sean has been married to his loving wife since 2003.
